Ukulele Unit
Learning Goal:
I will perform a song with ukulele and vocals by myself or in a group.
Success Criteria:
I can:
- make all the chords correctly
- change chords at the correct time
- correctly play the strumming pattern on my instrument
- sing all of the lyrics to the song
Your Ukulele Unit Mark:
One Half of Your Mark: perform a song, including vocals, by myself or with others, on the ukulele.
One Quarter of Your Mark: I can play the chord progression C, Am, F, Dm, G, Em, B ь and D with correct fingering and smooth transitions. (one quarter of your mark)
One Quarter of Your Mark: Written Test (See the video about the test on this blog)
I can identify on a ukulele the:
- frets
- keys
- names of the strings.
- Parts of the body on a ukulele
- I can identify: C, Am, F, Dm, G, Em, B ь D chords based on chord diagrams.
- transpose a song from one key to another (See the video on this blog, for gr. 6, 7, 8)
- I can successfully tune a ukulele in the standard tuning of G,C,E,A (for gr. 6, 7, 8)
Extra Credit: In order to go beyond the expectations and earn a level 4, and A or a percentage from 80% to %100 you will need to go beyond the expectations listed above. This could include: writing your own song, performing another song, helping another group with their performance, creating a music video for your performance, etc.
